Wow. I mean that. WOW. The Swap & Shop event exceeded our expectations in a big way! From the very beginning of the event, we had lots of families show up and not only take what they needed, but some brought donations to share. We were given a stroller, diapers, and cash, among other things! In all, we were able to give away 83 pieces of baby equipment, 73 linen items, eleven baby and toddler toys, fourteen packs of diapers, seven cans of formula, and other various items! AND our car seat clinician, Michaela, did two impromptu car seat clinics while she was at it! Thanks to all who donated, volunteered, and came to this event! Speaking of baby equipment, we have been given a generous grant from the Dallas Community Foundation to help remodel and shelve our equipment & car seat room! Because of this, we have to empty that room while we build the shelving we have so desperately needed! During the month of July, we will suspend accepting baby equipment. We will, however, still be accepting diapers, wipes, formula, and monetary donations. We will begin accepting gently used, clean, non-recalled equipment in August once, we have a place to put them!
