I don't know about you, but I've been listening to Christmas carols differently this year. The lyrics seem to mean more. One positive thing that has come from 2020 is that I've never longed more for the return of the Messiah than I have this year. "A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices..." "And ye, beneath life's crushing load, whose forms are bending low...look now! for glad and golden hours come swiftly on the wing..." "Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee..." I have literally caught myself more than once crying while listening to these beautiful songs this season. I think my kids are genuinely thinking I've lost my mind. Haha! My prayer for you is that this Christmas season is a balm for your weary soul and that you find rest and peace in the Messiah Who has come and will come again. Soon.
