Community Connection - April 2020 - Week 3

COMMUNITY CONNECTION SERVING OUR COMMUNITY WITH WHAT THEY NEED

APRIL  2020 | Vol.6 | Week 3

UPDATE It's hard to believe that it's been almost a month since we went into lock-down. Even since our last newsletter, we have made various changes that we want to share with you.  Curbside service is STILL available. We have changed our hours slightly to accommodate a wider range of needs. We are now open M, W: 9am-12pm and F: 12pm-3pm. In emergency situations, porch delivery is also available and we're happy to do it! Our phone line continues to be available 7 days a week and routing to volunteers at home to answer questions and arrange appointments and deliveries. Call us at 503-623-4618.  Our car seat clinics remain on hold for now. However, we can offer a virtual car seat check if needed and this can be arranged by calling our office. We are doing everything in our power to keep our families safe and to give them peace of mind during this time.    The various classes we were hosting are also still postponed. Parents Anonymous was meeting in our office on Tuesdays and are now offering Zoom meetings. Please visit our Facebook page for more details.  Many have asked and yes, we ARE accepting donations during our open hours. Which brings us to this: We have been ABSOLUTELY OVERWHELMED by the generosity of our community. Every time we're in the office, donations are pouring in. In spite of the wipes shortage, we still have plenty. So much so, that we will be providing one pack PER CHILD instead of one pack PER FAMILY, which had been our previous capacity. It's our hope that this will alleviate a little stress during these trying times. We at Bambinos are praying for all of our clients and supporters to be encouraged. Hang on to hope! God is still on His throne. This virus didn't surprise Him. He knows what He is doing and we can rest in His care.  In His Service,    Glenda J. Dunaway Executive Director
